Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She has also hosted The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
